PowerPhone’s DispatchU offers continuing education classes for dispatchers in the most current trends in emergency communications, as well as popular topics regularly impacting public safety. ConEd classes provide the tools and techniques call takers need to improve the standard of care offered to both callers and responders.

We are frequently adding new courses to our online and classroom catalog of continuing education programs to reflect new issues affecting public safety officials and emergency dispatchers and always keep our courses current with the latest statistics, guidelines and news items.

In our efforts to always offer the most in-depth and relevant courses, PowerPhone often leads the way by partnering with pioneering institutions to provide courses in unique and important topics, such as our Dispatch Judo class, an exclusive partnership with the Verbal Judo Institute.

If your agency could benefit from certain features from one DispatchU training class as well as features from another course offering, PowerPhone will work with you to create a custom course that addresses just the topics your area of service is most concerned with.

Our continuing education courses offer knowledge and skills for handling a wide range of incidents students will likely handle throughout their dispatching careers, from large-scale events like an active shooter or hostage situation, to the calls you receive every day like non-emergency calls.

In addition to handling specific call types, we also offer programs in handling the tough job of a dispatcher as a whole, including managing stress, being a better supervisor and reducing liability.

No matter what class you take to continue your education, you will leave our training programs feeling more confident and empowered in your role as a dispatcher.
